As a new month begins, the United States Government makes the Social Security Disability check payment schedule available to all Americans. Likewise, the calendar also serves retirees of other types of benefits. Therefore, any retiree can know exactly on which day of the next month he or she will cash a benefit check.
This official calendar is also announced at the end of the previous year, which means that in December 2023 we will have the official calendar for the entire year 2024. But the important thing is not the whole year, but each month. By checking the month’s calendar, we can find out on which day we will have the Disability benefit payment available.
And for many Americans, the Disability benefit is something of utmost importance, since they have no other monthly income. So collecting the payment every month from Social Security means they have the money they need to pay bills or for other expenses. Also, remember that those Americans who activate a particular collection method are going to be able to get the payment immediately. If they don’t do this, they will get a check, but always a few days later.
Schedule of Social Security Disability payments in February 2024
In total, the Social Security Administration has announced 4 days of payments for Social Security Disability retirees. In addition to those four days there is an extra fifth day that is from the Supplemental Security Income payment. A retiree can get a maximum of two payments if you count Supplemental Security Income. But it is not possible to get two Social Security retirement checks.
Also, it is good to keep in mind that Social Security payments are for all beneficiaries, not just Disability retirees. We can collect this payment if we have applied for Early Retirement Age or any other type of retirement. Meeting the exact requirements of the day is sufficient.
We will be able to get the money in February 2024 on one of the following days:
- February 1st. Supplemental Security Income payment. This payment is for all recipients of this benefit.
- February 2nd. Retirees retired for disability or other reasons since before 1997. There are no further requirements on this day.
- February 14th. Post-1997 beneficiaries collect payment on this day if their birthday is between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- February 21st. Any post-1997 Disability retiree with a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month can collect on this day.
- February 28th. The Social Security Administration sends payments to post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st on this day.
After February 28th we will have to wait until March for a new payment. If we activate Direct Deposit, we will receive the Disability benefit on the same day it is sent. Otherwise, the payment will arrive up to 3 days later. The day marked on the calendar is only to indicate when the Administration sends the payment, but getting it soon or not will depend on the collection method we choose.
