Being a retiree in the United States has many advantages thanks to the Social Security Administration. This agency makes sure that all pensioners, whether disability or retirement, can pay all their bills on a monthly basis. At least, the financial benefit they offer is enormous for these types of people. If you have retired, it is possible that you will soon receive your benefit this September, regardless of the amount you receive in the check.
What does matter, however, is your birthday. Each month, the Social Security Administration sends out benefit checks on the second, third and fourth Wednesdays. In this way, each day is designated for a particular group of people based on their day of birth. In this way, the month is divided into three parts: 1st-10th, 11th-20th and 21st-31st. Depending on your day of birth you will be in one group or another.
Who receives the next Social Security payment?
Looking at the schedule of payments from the Social Security Administration we can find the answer to this question. The first of the Social Security pension payments is next September 14. People born between the 1st and 10th of the month will be able to receive the money very soon.
On the other hand, if you were not born on those days, don’t worry. The next few Wednesdays will be your paydays:
- Third Wednesday of the month: Social Security sends payments to people born between the 11th and 20th.
- Fourth Wednesday of the month: SSA sends benefits to people with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month.
However, remember that it may take up to 3 days for the payment to appear in your bank account, unless you have Direct Deposit activated. In case you do not receive your money, contact your local office to solve possible problems.
