Thousands of United States citizens in their 70s with a retirement benefit can enjoy a check for up to $4,555 from Social Security as early as this week. This benefit is not for all Americans, so take a good look at the requirements.
If we are waiting for our monthly benefit this week could be ours. So don’t put the calendar aside and quickly check to see if you are eligible for this day’s benefit. In this regard, getting each of the Social Security checks depends on which group we belong to.
In total, the Administration divides beneficiaries into 4 different groups. Each of these groups has different requirements and we must meet all of them in order to receive payment on one day or another.
The Social Security Administration sends these checks to a different group each time. On each day of the month, some retirees can collect their payment. And the main characteristic of getting a check on one day or another does not depend on age or type of retirement.
WHICH RETIREES COLLECT SOCIAL SECURITY THIS WEEK?
Retirees who meet two requirements will be able to get this benefit. These requirements are exactly two. On the one hand, we have the obligation to have the benefit after 1997. This is essential, since retirees with an earlier benefit receive their benefits on a different day.
After that, we have to take into account that post-1997 retirees are divided, in turn, into three different groups. The next group, which will receive Social Security benefits on the 13th day of September, is the group of retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month.
Throughout the month of September there are other payment days for the rest of the retirees. In total, there will be two more days when thousands of Americans will get their disability or age retirement benefits.
OTHER SEPTEMBER PAYMENTS
The September 13th payment is not the only one from Social Security. Besides that, it’s not the last either, as there are two more payments, plus a third payment of a different benefit. On September 20th and 27th, the Administration will send another check to retirees.
To cash the check on the 20th of September, it is necessary to have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month. In the case of the 27th check, beneficiaries must have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. It is also necessary to have the benefit after 1997.
Finally, on September 29th, the Administration will send out a new Supplemental Security Income check. This extra payment is actually for the month of October. Social Security sends it earlier because there is a slight irregularity in the calendar.
