Citizens age 65 and older in the United States mostly collect a Social Security check. This means that most Americans over 65 are already retired, which is normal for those who meet the minimum requirements.
Also, a large portion of these beneficiaries have no source of income other than Social Security. Therefore, we find that retirement collection day is really important to all of them. So we must take this into account when organizing the economy, since without another source of income we depend directly on retirement.
And in the case of June we can get the Social Security payment in up to four different days. So pay attention to the payment schedule and mark on your personal calendar on which day of the month you will have your retirement money available. It is not possible to cash more than one check, so you will only be able to get your retirement payment on one of them.
Social Security Retiree Payment Schedule for June
It is important to keep in mind that the type of retirement does not determine when you will get your payment. Likewise, neither does the age at which we applied for Social Security, as well as our current age, change when we will collect our retirement.
Knowing this, let’s look at the full schedule of June 2024 Social Security payments:
- June 3rd. Payment for retirees with benefits prior to May 1997.
- June 12th. Only retirees with post-May 1997 checks and birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month collect on this day.
- June 18th. This payment day will be only for post-May 1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month.
- June 26th. Retirees with benefits after May 1997 and birthdays between the 21st and 31st get payment on this day.
As for the third Wednesday of the month, it should be noted that June is the 19th, so the payment is brought forward to the 18th. This is because June 19th is a national holiday, so the Social Security Administration does not send checks on that day.
All other benefits have no irregularities. So all benefit recipients will get their checks within a few days, especially if we activate Direct Deposit. This collection method is the fastest of all and is immediate.
