On the upcoming February 21st and February 28th, 2024 the Social Security Administration will be sending out different checks. If you are a United States retiree you will be interested to know that one of these checks for up to $4,873 could be for you. To do this all you have to do is look at the list of requirements for each of the payments.
At most you can get one of these two payments. And that’s because these retirement payments are individual. The Social Security Administration sends up to four different checks each month. And each retiree can get only one of these checks.
The main requirement for the payment of this benefit is the acceptance of a retirement benefit. This may seem obvious, but it is important to keep in mind. And the type of retirement does not matter in order to be eligible for this payment.
Thus, both Disability and non-Disability beneficiaries can get one of these payments from Social Security. Both payments are coming soon, so take a good look at the schedule and requirements.
February 21st and 28th Social Security Eligibility Requirements
These two Social Security retirement checks are for all groups of Americans. All groups in retirement, meaning any type of retirement is eligible to get these payments.
But each of these two days has two unique requirements. If we do not meet both requirements, the payment will not be able to arrive on one of these days. Let’s see those requirements in each of the payments:
- February 21st. Social Security for retirees after May 1997. The other requirement is to have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month.
- February 28th. Beneficiaries with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of the month can get this retirement payment. Likewise, it is also necessary to have applied for a retirement check as of May 1997.
Only by fulfilling both requirements will we receive the Social Security money on February 21st or 28th. Retirees who are not in these groups should know that their collection days were on the 2nd or February 14th. So if we do not have the payment as of today we may have to claim it from the administration.
