There are many different payments that could be coming this week to United States citizens. In addition to SNAP Food Stamps or retirement checks, Disability beneficiaries may also get a new payment. Only those Americans who meet the established requirements.
Not just any citizen with a Disability benefit can get this payment. Likewise, not just any American with a retirement check could collect the new check. While it is true that there are no requirements as to the type of benefit, there are requirements in other areas.
If we have a Social Security retirement payment we could also get the new payment. We must pay attention to the year of retirement and the day of birth. If we take into account both aspects we could determine if February 14th will be the day we get the new retirement benefit.
If not, the collection day will be very soon as well. The Social Security Administration will be sending out several other payments throughout the month of February. Two other checks will arrive in the next few weeks, so the Disability payment will also arrive in the next few days.
Disability beneficiaries who will collect their retirement this week
On the one hand, the Disability beneficiary has to meet two requirements. The first of these requirements is to have the benefit since May 1997 onwards. It does not matter the month or year of retirement if it is after that month. On the other hand, it is also important to be between the 1st and 10th birthday. The month of birth does not matter, nor does the year.
If these two requirements are met, we will have access to this new payment. If we do not meet them, the disability check will arrive on the 21st or 28th day of the same month of February. It is true that the payment arrives a week later than usual, since February started on a Friday. But that does not mean that the schedule is not the usual one.
Americans who do not receive a February 14th disability payment will get checks on one of the following days:
- February 21st. Only for beneficiaries born between the 11th and 20th. Also required to have the benefit since after 1997.
- February 28th. Americans with birthdays between the 21st and 31st get payment on this day. It is also necessary to have the payment since after May 1997.
Once the Social Security Administration sends the payment on the 28th, there will be no more payments in February. Therefore, we will have to wait until March before we can get another new benefit.
Remember that if you want to have a Disability payment immediately you need to activate Direct Deposit. This collection method is the fastest of all and is instantaneous. If you do not have this collection method activated, the money will arrive a few days later, although it will arrive anyway.
Likewise, it is also good to keep in mind that not only Disability beneficiaries get the February 14th payment. Any other retiree will receive their Social Security payment if they meet the established requirements.
