The April Social Security payment schedule is now available. This means that any of the citizens of the United States can now know when the check will be available in their pocket. At the very least, Americans can know when the Social Security Administration will send this check.
Receiving it at the same time or not will depend on the collection method we have selected, as there are two main ones and one of them is slower than the other. Still, another factor that is really important in this regard is the fundamental requirement to know on what day we will receive the check.
The Social Security Administration divides retiree payments into three different groups. Thus, the second, third and fourth Wednesday of the month are the days chosen to send the benefits. Each beneficiary will receive his or her pension on one of these days depending on his or her birthday.
Who gets the next Social Security check?
The average Social Security payment in 2023 is $1,688 per month. This does not mean that all beneficiaries will receive at least that amount of money. However, it is common for every month’s check to be close to that figure, either a little less or a little more.
Knowing this, it is also important to know who will receive next April’s check. The check will be mailed on the 12th day of April, so that’s just a few weeks away. The beneficiaries eligible to receive this money are:
- Age-based retirees. It does not matter if the retirement is Early Retirement or Full Retirement.
- Disability retirees. It is the same here. Any disability retiree will receive their check the same as an age-based retiree.
In addition to these two types of retirees, in reality any other type of retiree as well. The most important thing in these cases is the birthday. Therefore, any pensioner who has a retirement will be able to receive the next check if his birthday is between the 1st and 10th of the month.
The rest of the Social Security pensioners will receive the money in the following weeks, depending on the same personal information. Thus, the next payment days would be April 19th and 26th.
Full April Pension Schedule
The full April pension schedule is eye-catching for beneficiaries because there is one payment that does not exist. This payment is the Supplemental Security Income. Actually, it does exist, but it is sent in advance. The payment should be made on April 1st, but this will not happen because April 1st is a weekend. For that reason, the SSI money will be sent on the last working day of March.
These are the days when Social Security will send out all April 2023 checks:
- April 11th. This day is for retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- April 18th. Retirees born between the 11th and 20th of the month receive their retirement benefit on this day.
- April 25th. Any Social Security beneficiary with a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month can collect his or her benefit on this day.
Knowing the exact days on which the SSA sends checks to your beneficiaries makes it easier to control household expenses. Thus, it is possible to have a more comfortable and simple financial organization.
How many Social Security checks can I receive each month?
The usual number of checks we can receive each month is 1. However, there are some exceptions to this. If the Social Security Administration has a backlog of checks, which is unusual, they may send us two checks in the same month.
In addition to this, we must also take into account the Supplemental Security Income payment. If we are entitled to this payment, we will receive two payments each month as usual. This could result in us receiving three different checks, as happens in the month of March.
Even so, we should be prepared to receive only one payment per month on the calendar date. And remember, those are the days the Social Security Administration uses to send the money. Whether we receive it on that day or not will depend on the collection method we use.
