The next SSI payment will come with an increase: it will be on this date and there will be no more in 2023

Next month, there will be a double-header of SSI checks, one of which will include an increase for all beneficiaries

The amount of the monhtly SSI payment is different for every beneficiary

SSI payments in the United States are monthly. This means that each month we will be able to enjoy this benefit that has in 2023 a maximum of $914 per month. However, there are some months in which calendar irregularities mean that retirees may get two checks in the same month.

On the other hand, it is also possible that we may not get this Supplemental Security Income check for a month. This all depends on a calendar irregularity. Still, there is nothing to worry about in the event that we have our SSI check accepted. At the end of each year we will have gotten 12 payments of this benefit. So if you have a check that is accepted, you don’t have to worry about getting the money or not.

What we do need to keep in mind is that the year is winding down and there is just one more check on the 2023 calendar. But the good news is that during the month of December we can get an extra SSI payment which will also have an increase thanks to the COLA.

So in total we can still get two SSI payments in December 2023 if we have a particular collection method activated. If we do not have this collection method activated, we should not worry, as the money will still arrive, but it will arrive a few days later.

WHEN ARE THE SSI PAYMENTS IN DECEMBER?

In total there are two SSI payments that the Social Security Administration will send in December 2023. Each of these checks has a different payment day. The best part, however, is that there are no requirements to be met in order to determine when we will cash these checks.

Unlike Social Security payments, Supplemental Security Income checks arrive to all recipients on the same day. At least the Administration sends the checks to all beneficiaries equally.

In December 2023, we will be able to collect this payment on the following days:

In the case of having a Social Security check in December we will be able to cash three different checks: 1 from retirement and 2 from Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY INCOME REQUIREMENTS

The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit is for the neediest United States citizens. There are two mandatory requirements to be met if we want to obtain this benefit. Otherwise, we will not get this check, although we may get the monthly Social Security retirement benefit money.

There are two requirements. On the one hand, we must be 65 years of age or older or have a disability. On the other hand, we must have low monthly income, as well as low resources in general.

If we are in this situation, we can apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) every month. The maximum check for this benefit is $914, but each citizen gets a different payment depending on his or her income.
