In this week of April thousands of United States citizens will be able to get a new Social Security check. This new check is only for group 3 retirees and it does not matter the type of retirement to belong to this group. However, we will need to meet two mandatory requirements to be in this group.
This way we would get a new check for up to $4,873 on the next April 17th. This will be the second to last check from Social Security this month, as the last one will arrive next week. After next week’s payment we will have to wait until May to collect one of the new checks.
This means that some citizens do have their Social Security payments. In the previous week, the Social Security Administration sent out payments on April 10th. This payment was only for post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any month. And in the next of the payments one of these requirements will be repeated.
Who gets the next Social Security payment for April?
The mailing day will be April 17th, as mentioned above. This new payment will be only and exclusively for group 3. Social Security divides retirees into 4 different groups and each group has its own requirements.
To collect a check as part of the group 3 retiree group we have to:
- Have check since after May 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 11th and 20th of any month.
This will make it easier for us to be in retiree group 3. Beneficiaries in this group will always receive their Social Security payments on the third Wednesday of each month. So if you already know which group of retirees you belong to, you will be able to keep in mind the day on which you have your benefit.
Remember that the days announced by the Social Security Administration are the mailing days. Collecting the retirement money on the same day of remittance will depend on whether or not we have activated Direct Deposit. If we have this collection method we will not have to wait any longer to get the monthly benefit money.
