In the next week the Social Security Administration will again send a new check to United States Disability beneficiaries. It is possible to get one of these payments if you meet certain mandatory requirements.
Although many Americans think they can get more than one payment per month, this is not the case. The retirement check only comes once a month, and Disability beneficiaries have this rule as well.
So whether you have a Disability benefit or otherwise, you will get a new check each new month. But no more than that. However, it is true that if you have another accepted benefit, such as Supplemental Security Income, you may get two checks in the same month.
If you don’t have this extra benefit, the Social Security check will arrive in your checking account only once. And within the next week, this Disability benefit could be in our pocket. It will all depend on whether we are eligible to get this payment or not.
Which Disability beneficiaries will get the new payment?
Only a specific group of Americans will be able to get the next Social Security Disability payment. Two requirements must be met in order to receive next week’s check.
The requirements to get the new payment on March 13th are:
- Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- Have been receiving Social Security benefits since after 1997.
And it doesn’t really matter if we have a Disability or other retirement check. What really matters in these cases is to have the benefit previously accepted. If you meet these two requirements, the Administration will send you a check on the next March 13th.
Remember that in order to get the money on the same day we need to have Direct Deposit activated. This collection method is immediate, but it is not mandatory. We can get the money without having this activated, although it will take a few days to appear in our current account.
The amount we get depends on our record. Each Social Security retirement check is totally different. So your benefit will be higher or lower depending on your personal situation. This is true for Disability beneficiaries and other types of beneficiaries.
