In order to determine if we are eligible for United States disability benefits, we must meet certain requirements. If we do not meet these requirements, the Social Security Administration will not send us a disability check in the next mailing. However, there is nothing to worry about, as we will still receive a check.
One of the best things the United States Social Security Administration has to offer is a disability payment schedule. Since this calendar has the days set, anyone can know in advance on which day they will receive their retirement check. And for this it doesn’t matter what type of benefit we have. Whether it is for disability or retirement due to age, and this does not change the date of receipt of the benefit.
The important thing in these cases is always the day of the birthday. To this we also have to add the year of retirement. With these two pieces of information we will be able to determine whether or not we will receive the next Social Security disability payments. The rest of the retirees who are not on this list will have to wait until the following month, since the next payment is the last of this month’s payments.
Who is off the list for the new disability payment?
The retirees who are off the list of the next disability payment are all groups except one. As such, these are the retirees who are not eligible for the next Social Security check:
- Pre-1997 retirees.
- Post-1997 beneficiaries with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- Post-1997 Social Security retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month.
If you fall under these conditions, the next of the disability payments won’t hit your pocket. But there is nothing to worry about, as each of these groups received the money on the previous days.
To be exact, the first of these groups received their check on the 3rd of May. The second group received their benefit on the 10th of May. The third of these aforementioned groups was able to receive their disability on May 17th.
If you have not received your check and you are in one of these groups, you should claim payment. It is possible that there is a problem with the mailing of your check, so contact your bank or Social Security to solve the problem.
In conclusion, we can say that the only group that will receive a check for May 24th is the last group of the month. This group is made up of beneficiaries who applied for disability after 1997 and were born between the 21st and 31st of the month.
