Retirees who meet certain requirements will be able to enjoy a new United States Social Security benefit. The group of beneficiaries who are under these conditions will receive the money in just a few hours. There is another group that will receive a check this week, but will not get it immediately.
In order to receive the money instantly, three requirements must be met. Retirees who meet two of these requirements will be able to receive the benefit before the end of the week. However, being able to receive the money immediately makes things much easier for the beneficiaries.
Regardless, if you have a Social Security benefit, you may still receive it in the following weeks. The Social Security Administration sends out retirement checks on up to four different days. So your benefit will arrive in your pocket on one of those days.
Pay attention so you can determine if you are among the group of retirees who will receive your benefit in the next few hours. Do you meet all three requirements for instant Social Security?
CONDITIONS TO RECEIVE THE NEXT SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFIT IMMEDIATELY
Beneficiaries who want to receive their next Social Security check immediately will need to meet three fundamental requirements. Without these requirements, receiving a Social Security check within a few hours will be impossible.
Here are the three unique requirements to be able to receive the new payment:
- Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month. This group of retirees always receives the payment on the second Wednesday of the month.
- Have been receiving the benefit since after 1997. Social Security beneficiaries who applied for a check before that date always receive the money on the 3rd day of the month, with some exceptions. So in order to receive the next payment, it is mandatory to have the benefit since after this year.
- Activate Direct Deposit as a payment method. If you meet the other two requirements, you will receive the money during the week. However, in order to receive it in the next few hours, it is mandatory to have this payment method activated.
Now you know what the three essential requirements are to be able to receive the new retirement check. The Social Security Administration will send these payments on August 9th, which is next Wednesday.
Retirees who have activated Direct Deposit will have the opportunity to receive the check first. The rest of the retirees will receive the benefit according to their own bank. The exact day of receipt will depend on the speed of the bank and whether or not the payment has been withheld.
