When the Tax Season starts in the United States every new year, Americans have to send their Tax Return to the IRS. This is usually the case, but sometimes Americans delay sending these documents for many different reasons.
Even so, it is true that we still have more than a month ahead of us to be able to send the documentation. And it is that until the 15th of April we can send our Tax Return to the IRS. But delaying this sending can mean the delay of getting the Tax Refund, so it is not advisable to do so.
The ideal in these cases is to send the documents as soon as possible. Especially in the case of military families, since they can apply for the EITC to the IRS and get a higher Tax Refund. However, in the case of doing so, we must take into account several aspects such as that the wait will be longer.
However, Americans who have the possibility to apply for the EITC can get a much more advantageous Tax Refund. We just have to keep in mind that if we do so we will get the IRS stimulus check a little later.
Which military families can claim the EITC from the IRS?
The general rule for filing for the EITC for United States families is that low and moderate income is mandatory. However, for military families this rule may change a bit. This category is special, so if this is your case you should check well what are all the conditions.

The main problem that a military family may encounter when claiming the EITC is that it directly affects other government benefits. Even so, the IRS will be able to help us determine whether or not to apply.
In most cases, filing for the EITC is the best possible idea. Even so, before applying, we can contact an advisor so that we can confirm that this is the case for our individual situation.
Remember that in the case of filing for a Tax credit, the IRS Tax refund will arrive later. This may seem negative, but if we take into account that we will get a larger stimulus check, it is actually a positive thing.
