Stimulus checks have become part of the basic United States economy for many Americans. After the American Rescue Plan, many states continue to send these extra payments. Receiving one of these payments is possible, so we should check to see if we can apply for them.
In this sense, some of these checks can be a great solution to family financial problems. At the end of the day, the purpose of stimulus checks is none other than to help those in need. For that reason, if you think you deserve one of these checks check eligibility and apply for the amount as soon as possible.
Even so, there are many states where these stimulus checks arrive unsolicited. The payment system for these extra checks is usually automatic. In any case, it is always a good idea to check that the payment arrives on time and claim it if you have not received it.
If you live in one of the following two states, you will be able to request and receive a stimulus check in the next few weeks. If not, there is nothing to worry about, as we are likely to see more of these checks in the future.
WHICH STATE SENDS OUT NEW STIMULUS CHECKS?
It should be noted that before claiming one of these payments we must check eligibility. Even if we live in this state it doesn’t mean we can access the check. Therefore, check that you can receive the extra money before you even apply for it.
Let’s look at the two states where we could receive an extra check in the next few weeks.
ALASKA
Even though many of these stimulus checks were sent out in June and July, some citizens have yet to receive payment. The Alaska Permanent Fund is responsible for issuing these checks.
The source of this extra payment is annual dividends. Because of these dividends, citizens receive a stimulus check of a different amount each year. If we want to receive one of these payments, it is mandatory to have lived in Alaska for the entire past year 2022. In addition, we must be able to prove it. Likewise, it is also necessary to still be living at the time of applying for the payment.
NEW MEXICO
Within the State of New Mexico we can find with two types of stimulus checks which are actually two refunds. These rebates will go to both taxpayers and non-taxpaying citizens.
In order to receive one of these payments, several requirements must be met:
- Taxpaying citizens can receive up to $500 for individual cases. In the case of filing jointly, this stimulus check could be as much as $1,000.
- In the case of citizens who are not required to file taxes, the payment is totally different and individual.
The payments for these extra checks should arrive between August and September. So pay attention to your bank account to see if you have received your tax-related stimulus check.
