Throughout the month, each State in the United States may send SNAP Food Stamps checks on different days. This is one of the most striking features of this benefit, as it results in beneficiaries getting the payment earlier or later depending on the place of residence.
Still, it is true that, on the other hand, the amount of the check does not depend on the state. The maximum payment per person for SNAP Food Stamps is $291 in 2024. And this maximum payment is for all States, regardless of where we live. So while the day of payment is different, the maximum check is the same regardless of the residence of the recipient in question.
And in just one week we will have the last payments of this benefit leaving the offices with EBT card addresses. So, if we have not yet gotten our April SNAP Food Stamps, we should have them available in the next few days, regardless of the amount or the State in which we live.
States sending the last payments of April SNAP Food Stamps
Some States have already paid all the checks for this benefit for the month of April. However, some other states have to send some of the money from the SNAP Food Stamps checks to recipients.
In the next few days, if you live in one of these states you could have SNAP Food Stamps available on your EBT card:
- Alabama: April 4 to 23
- Delaware: April 2 to 23
- Florida: April 1 to 28
- Georgia: April 5 to 23
- Indiana: April 5 to 23
- Louisiana: April 1 to 23
- Maryland: April 4 to 23

- Mississippi: April 4 to 21
- Missouri: April 1 to 22

If the State you live in is not on the list, it has already sent all SNAP Food Stamps payments to recipients. To find out if you have the benefit money available, you should check your EBT card balance. This is the quickest and surest way to find out if you can spend the benefit money at any of the participating stores.
