In case we are waiting to get one of the payments it may be because we are part of the group 4 retirees or because the money is late. In order to know this perfectly we should check the mandatory requirements for the next April day’s payment.
Who is eligible for the new April Social Security payment?
The new payment day will be on the next April 24th. This payment will be the last payment for the month of April 2024 and will have a maximum amount of $4,873. If we have a payment accepted, it is possible that we will get it on this day. Although it is also possible that we may have already gotten the payment in some of the previous weeks.
The requirements to get this payment are twofold. On the one hand, it is mandatory to have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. On the other hand, it is also mandatory to have applied for Social Security after May 1997.
Those who meet this requirement can get the payment on April 24th. If you do not meet the requirements, the payment should have arrived on the 3rd, 7th or 14th day of April.
Maximum Social Security check in April 2024
The maximum payment for this check will be $4,873 for retirees at age 70. If we have applied for retirement before reaching that age, the check may not be as large. Likewise, the Disability payment is also different.
Those Americans who have a Social Security Disability check can also get the benefit on April 24th. But the maximum payment for these beneficiaries is $3,822 per month.
Remember that it is not possible to increase the monthly retirement check once we start collecting the check. So only the COLA will be able to increase your monthly Social Security benefit once a year.
