Those citizens with a United States Disability benefit may get payment these days from the first mailing of Social Security checks. However, the Social Security Administration is not sending out any new checks this week. This means that in order to get the payment, you must be in Group 1 of retirees and therefore meet the requirement to be in Group 1.
Likewise, there is one more requirement that must be met if we want to obtain the Disability retirement payment this week. And that is that the method of collection is a key element in determining whether we get the payment sooner or later. There are two methods to collect the retirement check and if we choose the slower one we will not have the possibility of collecting the check as soon as possible.
So if we take into account these two facts we have to fulfill two requirements to collect the Social Security payment this week. If we do not meet all these requirements, the payment will arrive in the previous week or will arrive in the following weeks. The day of the collection of the Disability Benefit always depends mainly on the characteristics of each beneficiary.
Who can get the new Disability Benefit payment this week?
Actually, this week’s checks were sent out the week before, so they are not really new payments, but payments already sent out by the Social Security Administration. Still, it is true that some Disability retirees do not yet have this money.
In order to be able to collect this check today or in the following days we need to belong to group 1 retirees, but that is not the only requirement. There are two mandatory requirements to get the payment in these next days:
- Belonging to Social Security Retiree Group 1. This group is the group of beneficiaries composed of retirees with a benefit prior to 1997. It does not matter the type of retirement, but it does matter the year in which we have requested the check.
- Do not activate Direct Deposit as a collection method for these benefits. It is true that this collection method is the fastest of all, so if it is activated, the money will arrive on the same day it is sent.
Whether or not to activate this collection method depends on each citizen. It is totally optional, so the final decision is up to the Disability beneficiary. If we want to have the check on the same day of the shipment, we must activate it. If not, we must wait for our bank to get the money and have it available for us.
Can I change the day of the Social Security collection?
The truth is that the Social Security check schedule is immutable, as well as the day on which each retiree receives his or her Social Security check. Social Security beneficiaries get their disability benefits earlier or later depending on their retirement year and birthday.
Therefore, since we can’t change that personal information it will be impossible to change the day we get the payment each month. So in order to control this we simply have to check the calendar.
By knowing the calendar and controlling the fastest collection method we will be able to know on which day we get the money each month. This is certainly highly recommended to control as much as possible everything related to the household economy for Disability beneficiaries.
