As is the case every month in the United States, the Social Security payment schedule is now available to everyone. And that means that any citizen can easily find out what day he or she will be able to collect a Social Security benefit. In this case, both disability beneficiaries and age-based retired citizens will be able to receive a check in just a few days.
Next week will be another week when the Social Security Administration sends out new retirement checks. However, those retirement checks will not go to all citizens, but only to a group of them. So we should check the calendar to make sure the payment is for us before we plan what to do with that amount.
And it doesn’t matter if we have an age benefit, widow’s benefit or some other reason. What is important in these cases to determine whether we will receive the next of the checks is both the year of retirement and our birthday. With these two pieces of information alone we will be able to determine if the next payment is for us or not. Are you in the next Social Security payment group?

Eligibility requirements for the next Social Security payment
The next Social Security payment will be on September 13th, 2023. This is the third check sent by the Administration this month.

Note that not all of these checks go to the same groups of citizens. Some of them are exclusively for Supplemental Security Income recipients.
Leaving this aside, let’s take a look at the requirements to get the next Social Security payment, which will be on September 13th:
- Have a retirement after 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
If you retired before 1997, then you will receive your payment on September 3.
On the other hand, the second requirement is also indispensable. This is because the Administration sends the payments of post-1997 retirees on three different days. These days are always the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Wednesday of the month.
