A second SSI check is coming for millions of United States citizens. However, not all Supplemental Security Income recipients will be able to get this extra check within the month of September. In order to be able to do so, some factors must be taken into account. Even so, what is certain is that at the end of the year all citizens will have the same number of SSI and Social Security payments.
With this in mind, what we should know is that the extra payment we are talking about is actually next month’s advance. However, it is important to be able to receive the check a little earlier. Since this would make it possible for us to have the money a few days earlier than usual. Thanks to this advance of the Social Security SSI check, we would be able to better organize our monthly economy.
In the case of not being within the group of beneficiaries with this extra payment, the money would arrive in the following days. Therefore, it is not the greatest advantage in the world, but, to be honest, it would be something totally advantageous. The amount of the check would be the same as usual, so if your SSI is $500, you would receive up to $1,000 within the September days.
REQUIREMENTS TO GET A SECOND SSI IN SEPTEMBER
The requirements are the usual requirements to get SSI. However, we should add one more. What we should be clear about is that the Administration will send all recipients a check in advance, but not all of them will receive the money.
In this case, we are talking about the collection method. If we choose the fastest collection method, within the days of September we will have those two checks. And thanks to this we are going to be able to receive up to $1,828 thanks to the SSI benefit.
So in order to do this we must have Direct Deposit as a cashing method. This is the only way to ensure that we will receive the money immediately and without delay. Thanks to this collection method, the money will appear instantly.
In addition to that, we have to meet the usual Supplemental Security Income requirements. Remember that in order to obtain this monthly benefit, you must be 65 years of age or older or have a disability. We must also have low resources. If our monthly income changes, we could lose some or all of our SSI.
