During the month of August the United States government will send a new stimulus check to some citizens. This stimulus check will have a maximum value of $3,824 and in total the country will hand out $3.4 billion. If you qualify you could receive one of these payments. You are not required to do much to apply for the stimulus check intended for Americans.
The reason this payment comes in August is because of oil and gas revenues. Last year’s earnings have not been spread across all states, so some stimulus checks may still come in. So if you live in a state where the payment has not yet been sent, you may receive it during August.
For example, the State of Alaska has not yet sent out 100% of the check, but it has already sent out to many citizens who have applied for it. So pay attention to this stimulus check if you don’t have it yet, as it could be coming to your pocket very soon.
WHO GETS THIS STIMULUS CHECK IN AUGUST 2023?
The date when new citizens who did not have it before will receive their stimulus check will be August 17. In theory, that day will be final for payments of this check. If you are expecting to receive one of these payments, you may have it by that day at the latest.
Still, there are ways to track check items. While it’s no longer possible to use Get My Payment, the usual platform to see where those payments are, there are other ways to do so.
By creating an online IRS account, we could inquire about the stimulus check status. On the other hand, it is also possible to refer to IRS Notice 1444-C of the same IRS. Either way, we still have to wait a few more days to report a possible late payment.
As for the amount, it is worth noting that the maximum of 3824 is only in Alaska. Each state has a different amount for this particular stimulus test. Normally, in these cases, the maximum payment is $500.
In addition to the State of Alaska, other states that will be sending out stimulus checks include Massachusetts, Hawaii, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Florida, Colorado, California, Montana, Washington, Kansas, Ohio or Texas. For now, if you qualify, you won’t have to do anything but wait.
