The first of the September Social Security disability payments will not follow the usual schedule for United States citizens. This means that any beneficiary who collects payment on the first check of the month will not have the opportunity to collect as usual. Although this sounds like bad news, it actually means that many Americans will be able to collect their benefit earlier.
Both the Social Security Disability payment and all other qualifying benefits will arrive on a different day. Some will collect on the 1st of September itself and others will get their payment on the 4th or 5th of the month. What is certain is that the 3rd day, which is the usual payment day in these cases, will not be the collection day for these beneficiaries.
Even so, remember that a series of requirements must be met in order to collect each month’s payment. The first of these requirements is related to the date of retirement and the second has to do with the method of payment. Depending on the method of payment chosen, we will be able to receive the September benefit earlier or later.
WHO WILL RECEIVE THE NEXT DISABILITY BENEFIT?
The new Social Security Disability Benefit checks will only be for a specific group of Americans. These Americans are those who have been receiving the benefit since after 1997. In order to collect the check on the 1st of September, it is only mandatory to have met this eligibility requirement.
However, in order to receive the benefit as soon as possible, there is another requirement that must be met. This other requirement is to activate Direct Deposit as a payment method. This method of payment is the fastest of all and you will not have to wait a single day to receive your Social Security check.
The reason the Social Security Disability check arrives early is because the 3rd day, which is the usual day for this payment, is a weekend. For that reason, the payment is made earlier on the 1st of the month. However, Americans who do not have Direct Deposit activated may have to wait until the 4th or 5th of September to get their check.
HOW DO I RECEIVE TWO SOCIAL SECURITY CHECKS ON THE SAME SEPTEMBER 1ST?
It is possible to cash two checks for different Social Security benefits on the 1st of September. In order to do so, you must have the Supplemental Security Income benefit accepted. Only if we have it accepted in advance will we be able to receive the money on this day in September.
In addition, we only need to have Direct Deposit activated. This method of payment applies to all Social Security benefits, both disability and Supplemental Security Income checks.
Beneficiaries who meet all the requirements will have these two checks on the same day of the month. Another Supplemental Security Income check will also arrive at the end of September.
