From the time the Social Security Administration announces the increase in United States disability benefits until the checks actually increase takes a few months. However, some Americans may get this increase a little sooner.

WHICH BENEFICIARIES WITH A DISABILITY CAN COLLECT THE 2024 TAIL EARLY?
In order to get a check early, we must meet two requirements. And within these requirements does not enter having a disability benefit, but it is possible for a beneficiary in this situation to meet the eligibility criteria.
These are the two requirements:
- Having the Supplemental Security Income.
- Activate Direct Deposit.
There is no other extra requirement to get the check early. So you just have to have these two requirements met and you can get the first check with the added 2024 COLA a few days early.
Specifically, you will get the Supplemental Security Income payment on the 29th day of December. This payment is in January, but it will arrive earlier because January 1st is a holiday. So you will be able to enjoy the check a few days earlier.
In addition, it should also be noted that the Supplemental Security Income, whether for beneficiaries with a disability or those over 65, will be more than $914. Currently that is the maximum amount, but thanks to COLA it may increase a little in the next year.
If the increase is ultimately 3%, as many experts are commenting, the check could increase by $27. This would bring the maximum Supplemental Security Income payment for beneficiaries with a disability to $941 per month.
