There are many people in the United States who will be celebrating in just 5 days. The Social Security Administration will send a new check to a group of retirees in less than a week. This check will be only for certain pensioners with a previously accepted benefit. In order to receive this check, there is one requirement that must be met.
The only requirement that must be met is not linked to the type of benefit or the amount of the check we will receive. If we are familiar with the Social Security calendar, we can see that the payment on April 3rd will be for beneficiaries who have had their benefit since before 1997. This is the only requirement to be met in order to be able to cash the next day’s check.
However, there is one more requirement to meet if we want to get the check on the same day that the Social Security Administration sends it. This other requirement is related to the method of collection chosen. While it is true that we will receive the benefit anyway, with this method we can receive the check immediately.
How do I receive my Social Security check immediately?
In order to receive the retirement benefit for April 3rd directly, we need to activate Direct Deposit. This payment method is perfect for everyone who wants to receive a check without having to wait a single day. Unlike the traditional bank deposit, with Direct Deposit we will get the money immediately.
Therefore, we don’t have to wait at any time to receive any of the checks. And this is not just for beneficiaries who received their benefits before 1997. Any other retiree who receives a Social Security check can activate this option and receive benefits quickly and easily.
I retired after 1997, when will I receive my pension?
Since the check on April 3rd is only for pre-1997 retirees, the rest should look at a different calendar. Retirees who applied for their benefit after that date will have their payment on the 12th, 19th and 26th of April.
Therefore, Social Security beneficiaries will have to wait until the following weeks if they want to have check in their pocket. Even so, the Direct Deposit collection method is also very useful in this case. As with pre-1997 benefit recipients, any check, regardless of the day, will appear instantly.
On each of these days, retirees will receive their benefit based on their day of birth. The groups are always divided into three. So retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month receive their benefit on the 12th day. On the 19th day, retirees born between the 11th and 20th of the month receive their Social Security check. Finally, the 26th of April is for retirees born between the 21st and 31st of the month.
