In the United States, each new month means a new Social Security benefit check for retirees. The Administration sends these checks to all beneficiaries who have previously accepted the benefit. However, not all checks arrive on the same day to all retirees. Each retiree will receive his or her money on a particular day.
In order to determine on which calendar date each retiree receives one of these Social Security checks, it is necessary to take into account several elements related to the personal information of each American. The Social Security payment calendar is configured based on two key pieces of information about retirees.
On the one hand, one of the key elements is the year of retirement. On the other hand, the second important piece of information is the birthday. Using these two pieces of information, United States citizens can determine on which day Social Security will send their check.
Despite this, keep in mind that there are 4 different payment days, but there are two groups. This means that one group receives payment on one day, while the second group is paid in a staggered manner on up to 3 different days. When will you receive your benefit this July?
July Social Security Checks
Payment days in July depend on the items discussed above, as with all months. Each new check is mailed on a different day. The next of the payments announced by the banks and the Social Security Administration will arrive on the 12th day of the month.
Through this payment, many citizens will receive a check for up to $4,555. But not all retirees are eligible for this benefit. Only retirees who meet two requirements can collect the Social Security check on the 12th day of July 2023:
- Have had the benefit since after 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
Other than that, there are no other requirements, although the method of payment may have an impact on which day we receive the money. If we choose Direct Deposit as the withdrawal method, the money will arrive instantly. Regardless of the amount, receiving the money as soon as possible is always good news.
Other benefit payment days
These are not the only payments for the month of July. In addition to these days, the Social Security Administration sends out other retirement checks. One of these payments has already been sent out, although it is good to know the date in case you are in that group and need to claim a late payment.
The first of the July payments was last July 3rd. In this month, pre-1997 retirees were able to collect their benefit. It is the first of the month’s payments and from then on only post-1997 retirees can cash their check.
After that day, the payment days will be the 12th, 19th and 26th. On each of these days, retirees must also meet the birthday requirements. The Social Security Administration will send payments to different groups depending on the day of birth.
