In the coming month of September, United States citizens who have a Social Security check will get their payment without problems, as is common in these cases. However, it is true that some groups will have to wait until the third week of the month to get their money. Likewise, some other groups will have to wait until the fourth or fifth week of September.

Who has to wait the longest for Social Security in September?
Group 2, 3 and 4 retirees are those who will have to wait a little longer to get their September Social Security payment. To do so, they will have to check the payment schedule and requirements. It is true that the payment schedule follows the usual rules, but it is also true that since September 1st is a Sunday, the first of the payments for post-May 1997 retirees does not arrive until September 11th.
Thus, all Social Security payments for the month of September are:
- September 3rd. Social Security payment for pre-May 1997 retirees.
- September 11th. Social Security payment for retirees after May 1997. It is also necessary to have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- September 18th. Social Security payment for retirees after May 1997. Birthdays between the 11th and 20th of the month are also required.

Thanks to this calendar we can know at what time of the month we will have access to the money. Remember that the September Supplemental Security Income payment is sent on August 30th, so there is no check in September.
