Social Security announces the new calendar payment for April

Who receives the $4,555 payment on April 3?

One of the great advantages of being a retiree in the United States and collecting a Social Security benefit is that we can know well in advance the schedule of payments. Keeping in mind the days on which we can receive a Social Security cheque makes organization at home much easier.

Each pensioner receives a different amount in their Social Security cheque. This means that not all pensioners may get to collect the $4,194 cheque. This is the maximum cheque, but it is necessary to have made a good retirement plan before applying for the benefit.

In any case, regardless of the amount of our cheque, Social Security will pay us every month on the same day. This is the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month. The age of the retiree does not influence which day they will collect their benefit, but their birthday does.

Therefore, depending on our birthday, we will be able to know which day of the month we will receive a cheque with the Social Security benefit. And the month of our birth does not matter, nor does the year. Only the day on which we were born matters.

Which group of retirees receives the next Social Security?

As we have previously discussed, the Social Security Administration divides retiree groups into three different groups depending on their birthday. So we have three different groups of retirees.

Thousands of retirees will get a new cheque soon

  • Retirees born between the 1st and 10th.
  • Retirees born between the 11th and 20th.
  • Retirees born between the 21st and 31st.

These groups include both disability retirees and age-based retirees, in addition to any other reason for retirement. The first of these groups is the next to collect their Social Security cheque and will do so on February 8th. This means that in just a few days retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month will receive their benefit cheque.

When do the rest of the retirees receive their cheques?

The other two groups of retirees will receive their cheques in the following weeks. To be exact, the days on which they will receive their benefits will be the 15th and 22nd of February. On the first of these days, retirees in the second group, i.e., those born between the 11th and 20th, will receive their Social Security cheques.

On the second of these days, retirees born between the 21st and 31st of the month will receive their benefits. And remember that it is not necessary to have been born in the same month of the collection to receive the money on that day. What is important is the exact day of birth, not the month or year.

Who gets the next SSI payment from Social Security?

The Supplemental Security Income payment is not for all Social Security retirees. Only low-income citizens are eligible for this type of benefit. The Administration will send this payment today, February 1, 2023.

Each of these payments has different requirements. In addition to having a low level of income, age pensioners must have reached the age of 65. Otherwise, retirees cannot apply for this benefit. Even so, we always have the option of using Best Tool to analyze our financial situation and check if we are entitled to this benefit.
