With the payment schedule in mind, retirees across the United States can know well in advance what day they will be paid. And that’s why we can already determine whether or not a retiree is among the next group of pensioners who will have money in their pocket soon. This is the first mailing of payments related to the March Social Security pension.
While it is true that the Administration already sent out a payment on March 1st, this was not directly a Social Security payment, but the Supplemental Security Income payment. This check is only for a small group of pensioners who meet very specific requirements. Therefore, we can consider the next payment to be the first of the month for millions of retirees.
If you are not among the group of pensioners who receive the next check, there is nothing to worry about. The important thing is to have your check accepted. By having a benefit, the Social Security Administration will send us our money every month. It is not a major problem to receive this money sooner or later, since it will always be available to us.
Who gets the next Social Security check?
The group of retirees who receive the next Social Security check is the group of pensioners born between the 1st and 10th of the month. Likewise, the rest of the retirees will have to wait a little while to see the monthly pension amount in their bank accounts. But there is nothing to worry about, as we have already mentioned, since the Social Security Administration will send the checks in the following days:
- March 8th. Next payment. This is the check payment for retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- March 15th. Second pension payment of the month. This payment is only for retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month.
- March 22nd. Retirees born between the 21st and 31st of the month receive a check on this day of March.
In addition, the 1st of March was the payment of Supplemental Security Income, but this is not the only one of the month. Also, the Social Security Administration will send out a second SSI payment on the upcoming 31st of March. This means that many retirees could have up to 3 different checks: 2 SSI and 1 regular pension check.
Activate Direct Deposit to speed up the process
By activating Direct Deposit, any retiree can have their Social Security check immediately. This is a great advantage over the other method of payment, which is by deposit to a bank account.
If we do not have Direct Deposit activated, we will still receive the money, but it may take up to 3 days to arrive. With Direct Deposit we will not have to wait a minute to receive our retirement money.
