In the month of December we will have two different SSI payments. Each of these payments will have a different amount due to COLA 2024. This is because the first payment in December will be on the 1st and corresponds to the December calendar.
But at the end of the month we will have the payment on the 29th of December which actually belongs to the 1st of this month. This payment will have the COLA 2024 included because it is actually from the 2024 calendar.
Thus, any citizen who has an accepted benefit of this type will be able to cash a check for up to $914 on the 1st of December and up to $943 on the 29th of the same month.
Each SSI check will have a different amount, but what is certain is that the check on the last working day of December will have an extra 3.2% added to it thanks to the COLA. So mark these dates on your calendar to make sure you know when you’ll get your payment.
