In just a few days millions of United States retirees will be able to enjoy the $4,555 Social Security benefit. This means that a new group of beneficiaries is about to collect their benefit.
If you have an accepted Social Security benefit you could be among the next group to get a check. In order to collect this new benefit, there are only a few requirements that must be met. If we meet them, we will have the payment of up to $4,555 in our pocket.
If we do not get the payment in the next check, there is nothing to worry about. With an accepted benefit we will be able to get the money, either on the next day or on a different day.
So take a good look at the requirements and find out if you will be able to have a new check for $4,555 in just a week’s time. If so, remember that also the collection method chosen is important in order to determine the exact day of collection.
WHO WILL GET THE NEXT SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT?
Citizens who belong to the second of the retiree groups may get their Social Security check next week. The payment of retirement benefits is divided into groups as follows:
- Group 1: Retirees with a pre-1997 benefit.
- Group 2: Retirees with a post-1997 benefit with a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- Group 3: Retirees with a post-1997 benefit and a birthday between the 11th and 21st of the month.
- Group 4: Retirees with a post-1997 benefit born between the 21st and 31st of the month.
In this sense, in order to receive the next payment we must belong to group 2, so our benefit must be after 1997 and we must have a birthday between the 1st and 10th of the month.
These two are the only requirements for the Social Security Administration to send us the new check on September 13th. If you want to receive your check immediately, you must activate Direct Deposit.
The rest of the retirees will cash their checks on different days of the month. For example, the maximum payment of 4,555 from Social Security arrived on the 1st of September to those in group 1.
On the other hand, group 2 beneficiaries will get their retirement check on the upcoming September 20th. Likewise, the last group, group 4, will get their check on the last pensioner’s day of the month, that is, on the 27th day of September.
As for the reasons for retirement, it is good to keep in mind that there is no mandatory reason. That is, both age retirees and disability retirees get check on the same day if they belong to the same group.
