Within these payments, the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) check can also be very important. Although the maximum amount is less than $1,000, it is essential for entire families to pay their bills and live without major problems.

Also, keep the timing of Social Security payments in mind so that you can keep all of this income under control. Cashing each of the checks monthly can be a joy, so knowing the day in advance is doubly joyful. And that’s even more joy if we know that in the month of March we can receive up to two different Supplemental Security Income checks. Will you be receiving these two Social Security checks?

Thus, all we have to do is have Supplemental Security Income accepted for benefits. From then on, we won’t have to do anything else, as the Social Security Administration will send us our checks on the appropriate day. The SSA will send the first of these checks on the 1st of March.

The second check related to March SSI will be on the 31st. While it is true that SSA will pay this check to your beneficiaries in March, the payment actually pertains to the month of April. Since April 1st is a weekend, SSA sends the payment on the immediately preceding business day.

Other Social Security Payments in March

In addition to this payment, Social Security sends out several other checks throughout the month of March. These checks pertain to the age or disability retirement benefit. These are the days of these payments:

  • March 8th.
  • March 15th.
  • March 22nd.

On each of these days, a different group of retirees will receive their benefit. Social Security does not distinguish between retirees with different retirement ages, as well as different pension reasons. Each group of retirees receives their checks on one of these different days, and being in one group or the other depends on the date of the month in which they were born.
