Who can get their Social Security check in the last week of April?
Whether it is in the amount of $1,500 per month or a maximum check of $4,873, retirees must meet two requirements to get their last week of the month payment.
Each of the payments the Social Security Administration sends out during the month has requirements. And the April 24th check has two specific requirements.
These requirements are:
- You must have received the benefit as of May 1997.
- Your birthday is between the 21st and 31st of any given month.

What is the amount of the April 24th Social Security check?
The check you will get on April 24th, 2024 will be the same as the check you received in the previous months of this year. However, the payment will be 3.2% higher than the April 2023 payment.
If this is the first of the payments you get from Social Security, the check will depend directly on your work history. So all you have to do is wait to find out the exact check you will get in just a few days.
After this payment you could get another check in May. Assuming you get the April 24th payment means you will have to wait until the last week of May to receive a new benefit.
