Thanks to the Social Security payment schedule, any United States citizen can find out on what day he or she will collect his or her next benefit. This is very useful every month, but there are times when it is even more useful. On special dates like summer and vacations, it is important to know on what day we will get our money.
And in the middle of August we can know when we will receive the new Social Security payment and who will receive it. In any case, there is nothing to worry about if we do not receive the next payment. The Administration sends a total of 5 different payments in the month of August. One of them is not the pensioner’s pension as such, but the other four are retirement benefits.
If we have the benefit accepted, the payment will arrive sooner or later. So you just have to know on which day exactly you will receive it. Remember that the schedule of payments follows a fixed schedule that repeats every month. Still, there are some exceptions during some months. But we usually have the same payment days for all retirees.
WHEN IS THE NEXT SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT?
The Social Security Administration will send out the new retirement pension payment on August 16th. This is the third Wednesday of the month and thousands of retirees will be able to enjoy the benefit.
Prior to this payment, the Administration sent checks on August 3rd and August 9th to retirees. In addition, it also sent the Supplemental Security Income payment on August 1st. If you did not receive your payment on one of these days, you may receive it next week. You may even receive your payment in the second to last week of August.
WHO RECEIVES THE NEXT PENSIONER’S PAYMENT?
Only one group of pensioners will receive the August 16th Social Security payment. This group is retirees who meet two requirements. The first of these requirements is to have the benefit since after 1997.
Apart from that condition, one more condition must be met. The other filter that beneficiaries must pass is to have their birthday between the 11th and 20th of the month. This means that by fulfilling the two requirements the check will arrive very soon.
In the case of not meeting the two named conditions, the check could arrive on the 23rd of August. The latter group will receive their benefit if they have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. Likewise, they must also have had their retirement accepted since after 1997.
And remember, these are the days when the Social Security Administration sends out the check. Whether you receive it immediately or not will depend on the collection method you have activated. In this sense, Direct Deposit is the fastest option.
