In order to receive the next Social Security payment in the United States, we must meet certain mandatory requirements. These requirements mean that if we do not meet them, we will not be able to receive the payment on that particular day, but on a different one. Even so, the truth is that the Social Security Administration sends checks throughout the month, so we will receive one or the other depending on several factors.
The Social Security payment schedule is very easy to understand. So just by knowing some of our private information we can figure out the time of the month when we will get our new check. And if we don’t receive the payment on the next day, it is possible that we will receive it in the following days. It will all depend on both the year of retirement and the birthday of each beneficiary.
The most important thing about this whole situation is that regardless of the day on which we cash the check we should monitor our household finances well. If we can know in advance the day we will collect each minus it will be much easier to control the money we have and will need before collecting a new Social Security.
Therefore, we should not worry if our check does not arrive in the next week. If we are not on the list of Social Security beneficiaries who will get the new check, we just have to wait a little while until we get our benefit.
WHO WILL NOT RECEIVE THE NEW SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENT?
In the next week only one group will collect the Social Security payment. Since the retiree calendar is divided into four different groups we can conclude that the other three groups will not receive this benefit.
In short, if you are part of these three groups you will not be able to receive your payment on November 15th. You will receive your Social Security benefit during the month, but not on November 15th:
- Pre-1997 retirees. If your benefit is prior to that year, you can forget about collecting your check on the 15th of November. The payment of the check for this group was last November 3rd. If you do not have it yet and you are part of this group you should claim the back payment.
- Post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of any month. This group collected their benefit on the 8th day, so they will not be able to collect the check on the next 15th day of November.
- Post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 21st and 31st of any month. If your birthday is between those two days, you will not be able to cash the next payment either. You will have to wait until the 22nd to receive your Social Security payment for this group.
Therefore, the bottom line is that only beneficiaries in group 3, i.e., post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 11th and 20th of any month will collect the new benefit. This group will be able to collect on the 15th of November itself as long as they activate Direct Deposit to receive the Social Security payment.
