The United States Social Security Administration sends out a large number of different checks during the month. These checks can be for different benefits and one of them is the Supplemental Security Income. This benefit is only for a small group of United States citizens, so not All United States citizens can get it on a monthly basis.

So once they are met we must send all the supporting documentation to the Social Security Administration to start collecting the payment as soon as possible. Requirements for getting Supplemental Security Income each month
There are two main requirements to get Supplemental Security Income on a monthly basis. So pay attention to these requirements because you might meet them and thus be able to claim this check with a maximum payment of $943 per month. These are the requirements:
- Be age 65 or older or have a disability. It doesn’t matter which of these two groups you belong to. Both groups can get the same amount, which depends on the following requirements.
- Low monthly income and low resources. The Supplemental Security Income check depends to a greater extent on how much regular income we have. So the less usual income, the more SSI benefit we will get.
It is the Social Security Administration itself that determines if our income is low enough to get Supplemental Security Income each month. So until we send in all the paperwork we can’t get the exact figure. The maximum payment is $943, but the average is about $500.
Social Security SSI Payment Schedule
The payment schedule for this benefit is really simple. The Social Security Administration sends out Supplemental Security Income payments on the same day of the month to all citizen recipients. The day marked on the calendar is the 1st, at least for most months.
There are exceptions. If the 1st of the month is a weekend or holiday, the Administration sends the check on the immediately preceding business day. That happened in January of this year 2024, for example, since the 1st was a holiday and because of this the payment arrived on the 29th of December 2023.
