US Government announces final schedule for Social Security, SSDI, VA and SSI by 2025

The first of the United States Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) payments will come only for a specific group of eligible United States citizens. Having these payments is possible but only if we are part of group 1 retirees.

Now that a new month is starting and the beginning of the year 2025 is behind us, it is a good time to start planning for the rest of the year. And everything is easier to plan for if our Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) budget arrives sooner rather than later.

Still, even if we don’t have an SSDI benefit we could also get a check in the first week of February 2025. It all depends on whether or not we are Group 1 retirees. If we do, we will have to keep in mind that we have to meet a mandatory requirement.

How to get the first SSDI in February?

Although it is true that there are two elements that determine at what time of the month we get Social Security or SSDI each month, the truth is that the first of the checks each month has only one mandatory requirement. Those two elements are the year of retirement and the beneficiary’s birthday. But in the case of the first of the payments we only have to take into account the year of retirement.

Thus, in order to obtain the payment on February 3, 2025, we will need to meet only one requirement: to have the benefit since after May 1997. There are no other requirements for the Administration to send us this check, so just by fulfilling this one, we will have access to the payment without any problems.

Another very important element for these Social Security payments is the collection method. Depending on the collection method we choose we can have the payment earlier or later. This means that if we choose Direct Deposit the SSDI check will appear immediately in our checking account. If we do not choose this collection method, the payment will appear a few days later.
