OTHER SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS IN SEPTEMBER

Here is the complete Social Security payment schedule for September:
- September 1st. September SSI payment.
- September 1st. Retirement benefit payment for pre-1997 beneficiaries.
- September 13th. If the Social Security benefit is post-1997 and we have a birthday between the 1st and 10th, this day is our payment day.
- September 20th. Retirees with a post-1997 benefit and a birthday between the 11th and 20th are paid on this day.
- September 27th. Last retirement payment for this month. Beneficiaries of this benefit will receive the payment if their birthday is between the 21st and 31st and, in addition, their retirement is after 1997.
- September 29th. Second SSI of the month. This payment is actually an advance on the September Supplemental Security Income.
If you activate Direct Deposit, you will receive the payment on the same day it is sent. If this option is not activated, it will take up to 3 days for the money to appear, although it could be later, regardless of whether it is the SSI or retirement benefit.
