In order to keep track of the Social Security payment schedule, we don’t need to have a lot of information about it. Fortunately, the United States Social Security Administration announces at the beginning of each month the days on which it will pay checks to each retiree. Also, to determine the exact day on which we get paid, all we need to know is our birthday.

This is the Administration’s way of organizing pensioners into different groups. Pensioners born between the 1st and 10th collect one day. Pensioners with birthdays between the 11th and 20th collect their payment on another day. Finally, Social Security pays retirees born between the 21st and 31st on a different day.

Doing this makes it much easier to send the money to the Social Security Administration. By not having to send all the checks on the same day, the SSA can avoid mailing congestion and delays in payments. It is an effective method, although it requires organization on the part of the retiree, since he/she has to know that he/she will not have the money from the cheque at any time, but on an exact day.

Retirees receiving the next Social Security check

The Administration will send the new check to retirees born between the 11th and 20th of the month. Payments will be made on the next Wednesday of the month. This is the third Wednesday of March. Retirees born on the days named above are the ones who can receive the cheque. In addition, payments may arrive on the same day that the Administration sends them if we activate a particular collection method.

On the other hand, retirees born between the 1st and 10th of the month already received their checks on March 8th. As for the last group, made up of retirees born between the 21st and 31st of the month, they will receive their benefit check on the 22nd of this month. Also, Supplemental Security Income recipients, a different payment, received their money on the 1st of the month.

Direct Deposit is the fastest cashing option

Receiving a check from the Social Security Administration immediately is possible with Direct Deposit. This method of cashing any benefit-related payment is the fastest and most effective. You will not need to wait a single day to cash this check.

Direct Deposit payments are immediate. The moment the Social Security Administration sends the money, the retiree can enjoy it and use it for whatever they need, whether it’s rent or groceries.
