Getting a new Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) check at a higher amount in 2025 will be possible for all United States citizens. Benefits for all SSA will increase by a percentage starting in January of next year. This will make the check we get fairer with respect to general price inflation.
However, the maximum Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) check will also increase, although not everyone can get such a check. Each of the SSDI checks will increase based on the check they currently have. Therefore, we find that each and every citizen will enjoy a fairly larger check.
What will the COLA 2025 be for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)?
It will all depend on the announcement made by the United States Government this coming fall. The official COLA figure is not yet available, but all indications are that the increase will be 2.5%. While this is not a large increase, it does seem to be enough to give you a little extra money each month to cover the COLA.
Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) checks will increase as follows:
- SSDI maximum payment: will go from $3,822 per month to $3,914 per month.
- SSDI average check: from $1,480 per month to $1,517 per month.
Remember that each citizen has a different payment, so the increase is different. The COLA has direct effect, so it causes it to increase 2.5% of all checks. So for every $100 we collect from Social Security Disability we can get an extra $2.5 a month.
This COLA increase in Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) may not seem like much in one month, but if you multiply that count by all the money for the year, you will see that there is a big difference and that the increase is larger.
