Receiving each and every Social Security check is good news for United States citizens. As some of these citizens live with only a Social Security check as a source of income, having it every month is a financial relief. Therefore, we can be certain that knowing the exact day when we will have the money is critical.
What is certain is that the Social Security Administration sends checks on the days marked on the calendar. Whether or not we receive it on those days will depend on the collection method we have activated. For that reason, the Administration announces that there is a faster way to obtain the monthly checks. If we activate this way we will never have to wait again to receive the payment.
Undoubtedly, this is great news for all those retirees who are waiting for their payment. Being able to receive the check at the same time the Social Security Administration sends it is a great financial advantage. So if you activate this collection method, you won’t have to wait a day to receive each of your benefits.
What is the fastest collection method for Social Security?
This collection method is Direct Deposit. Thanks to this way of receiving your Social Security check every month, you will be able to enjoy the money instantly. There is no doubt that this is a great advantage over the other cashing method. In the opposite case of not activating Direct Deposit the money could take from 3 to 5 days, depending on the circumstances.

If we add to this that in some months the check arrives later, the advantage is even greater. In the month of June, for example, the first of the payments for post-1997 retirees arrive in the third week of the month. This is later than usual, so activating Direct Deposit can be key to paying bills on time.
Upcoming Retirement Payments
As we’ve already discussed, in just 24 hours the first of the Social Security checks for post-1997 retirees arrives. In addition to this payment, there are other checks coming between now and the end of June.
These are the days on which the Administration will pay the remaining benefits in this month of June 2023:
- June 14th. Payment for post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th of the month.
- June 21st. Retirees with post-1997 benefit and birthdays between the 11th and 20th collect on this day.
- June 28th. Last payment of June benefits. This check is for retirees born between the 21st and 31st of the month. It is also necessary to be retired after 1997.
- June 30th. This check is actually the July Supplemental Security Income check. It is brought forward because the 1st of that month is a weekend.
With Direct Deposit activated, the day Social Security is sent and the day it is received are the same. So if you have this collection method activated, you already know when in June you will receive your next benefit.
