If you do not do this your Social Security check will be later than ever in June 2023

If you do not meet these requirements you will not get the extra Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

If your Disability Benefit is prior this year you will not get the next paycheck

The physical offices of the Social Security Administration are located throughout the United States. So if we want to take care of any paperwork related to our Social Security check, we only have to go to one of them to receive help. There are also other avenues that will give us the same help, but there are citizens who prefer to deal directly with the workers.

On weekdays we can usually go to these Social Security offices during the morning hours. This is the general rule, since on a daily basis we will have no problem receiving attention from the workers. However, on November 20, in just a few weeks, the offices will be closed for the entire working day.

This will make it impossible to carry out any pending procedures in the physical offices on that day. The Social Security Administration will not be serving anyone at any of its offices. Do you know the reason why Social Security offices will be closed on February 20, 2023?

Social Security offices will be closed on February 20th

The reason these offices will be closed on February 20, 2023 is directly related to the calendar of events and vacations. That affects all of the United States. February 20th is Washington’s birthday. Therefore, it is a national holiday, so both Social Security offices and any other public buildings will not operate on that day.

On Monday, February 20, our offices are closed in observance of Washington’s Birthday. You can still use our automated telephone or online services to conduct your business. Visit https://t.co/2rTcbctKD6 to find out more about these services.

In addition, SSA beneficiaries should note that February 20th is a Friday in the year 2023. Therefore, any paperwork we want to do will have to wait until the following Monday. If you have any urgency related to Social Security, go to the offices on February 19th. So you won’t have to wait until next week.

When do retirees receive their February check?

The Social Security Administration sends out checks for February retirement payments on the following days:

  • February 8th.
  • February 15th.
  • February 22nd.

Depending on the retiree’s birthday, the senior may receive the payment earlier or later. For example, if a pensioner was born between the 1st and 10th of the month, retiree will receive the benefit check on the 8th of February. On the other hand, if that person was born between the 11th and 20th of the month, the senior may receive the check on the 15th of February.

Finally, if a pensioner has a birthday between the 21st and 31st of February, he or she will receive his Social Security check on the last Wednesday of the month, February 22nd.
