The Social Security Administration sends retirement payments on different days of the month to pensioners in the United States. Each day a different group of pensioners receives their benefit and to know which day belongs to which pensioner it is only necessary to check one requirement.

In this regard, pensioners are paid on the second, third or fourth Wednesday of the month. The Social Security Administration sends the checks in a staggered manner to expedite the process so that all checks do not go out on the same day.

This keeps delays to a minimum and with few exceptions, all retirees get their checks on time. The next of the checks is the last one for the month of February. If you have not yet cashed your check, this last one should belong to you, but to know for sure you must meet a requirement.

Last Social Security payment in February 2023

The last payment day of the Social Security Administration in February 2023 will be the 25th day. On this day, the Administration will pay retirement check to pensioners who meet the following two requirements:

  1. Have a previously accepted retirement benefit. The reason for retirement does not matter. The only important thing in this case is to have a retirement benefit, whether due to age, disability or some other reason.
  2. Have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of any month. It is not necessary to be born in the month of February to get the February check. Retirees born in this month can collect benefits for the other months of the year.

If you were born before the 21st of the month, your payment day should have been on the 8th or 15th of February. If you did not receive your check and you were born between the 1st and 21st of the month, you should claim your benefit.

To avoid delays of any kind, the best option is to activate Direct Deposit. Through this collection method, all Social Security payments are automatically deposited into your pocket. In addition, all users can create a Direct Deposit account without the need to have a bank account.
