Citizens of the United States can know well in advance on which day they will receive each Social Security check. Without a doubt, this is a great advantage in order to have a good financial organization in every American household. However, there are months that are not on the regular Social Security payment schedule.
When this happens, it causes the previous month or the following month to have a different number of Social Security checks. In this case, we are dealing with a month in which, due to an irregularity, we find ourselves with one less check. During the days of the month, the Administration always sends out five different checks. Four of those checks are for disability or age retirees.
The fifth of these checks is the Supplemental Security Income payment. This payment is an extra check that only goes to the neediest. In total, Supplemental Security Income citizens can receive two payments per month. But due to the irregularities mentioned above, we will find that in July the Social Security Administration will not send out the SSI, so retirees will receive only one check.
Schedule of Social Security payments in July 2023
Payments from the Social Security Administration in July 2023 will arrive on four different days. Each of these days is for a different group of retirees. So if you want to know on which day you will collect your benefit you just need to know your personal information and check the calendar.
These are the exact days of Social Security payments in July 2023:
- July 3rd. Payment for pre-1997 retirees. Only those who belong to this group can receive their benefit on this day. And it does not matter if their benefit is for disability, age or other reason.
- July 12th. Post-1997 retirees with birthdays between the 1st and 10th receive payment on this day.
- July 19th. Beneficiaries with a post-1997 benefit with birthdays between the 11th and 20th collect their check.
- July 26th. Any citizen with a post-1997 Social Security benefit and a birthday between the 21st and 31st is paid on this day.
And there are no more checks on July 26th. Normally, on the 1st of the month, the Administration would send out a check for Supplemental Security Income. But since that day is a weekend in July, the Administration sends the payment on the immediately preceding business day, which is June 30th in this case.
However, there is nothing to worry about financially. The checks arrive anyway, that is, the amount of money the retiree receives on these days is the same. Even if he/she is paid on different days, in the end he/she receives the same number of dollars.
