Tennessee and North Carolina Residents May Get Food Stamps a Few Days Later

People in Tennessee and North Carolina, can get SNAP money until late in the month, so they should keep a close eye on their spending

The SNAP money will arrive in these States

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as Food Stamps, reaches United States households every month. Thanks to this benefit, thousands of Americans have access to good food. The ultimate goal of this benefit is none other than to give citizens a little extra money so they can buy fresh food, among other things.

That is why it has become such an important benefit in most states. If we want to get a monthly SNAP check we have to meet certain requirements. Even so, these requirements depend on the State itself, so we must check them well before applying for this monthly payment. Also, the delivery of SNAP money changes from state to state.

For that reason we find that some States send the Food Stamp money at the beginning of the month and others send it at the end of the month. And in the States of Tennessee and North Carolina the money arrives later than in most other States. Do you know what day you will be able to get SNAP in these two States?

SNAP PAYMENTS IN TENNESSEE AND NORTH CAROLINA

SNAP money arrives on different days, as we have already mentioned, and unlike Social Security payments, there is no exact day for each group of beneficiaries. If we consult the SSA payment schedule we can see that there are fixed days marked and we will always get payment strictly on those days, with minor exceptions.

However, Food Stamps may arrive on different days to beneficiaries. On the one hand, in the State of North Carolina we find that the money could arrive as late as the 21st of September. The State began sending payments on the 3rd of September, but it is not until almost the end of the month that we can be sure that the payments will arrive.

In Tennessee, on the other hand, the story is not much different. It can take until the 20th day for the money to appear on our EBT card. So we must be patient if we haven’t gotten it yet.

OTHER STATES WILL SEND FOOD STAMPS LATER

Although in these places we find that the Food Stamps will arrive later, there are some states where the money could arrive even later. In Alabama, Delaware and Indiana the money could take until the 23rd day to arrive.

However, in the SNAP payment schedule, the 23rd day is the last day, so regardless of the state in which we live, the money will reach our citizens’ pockets on that day at the latest.

Remember that the minimum and maximum amount also depend on the State itself, so it is not possible to determine at the national level how much money we will get within the SNAP payments.
