SNAP Food Stamps benefit money has not yet reached some people in the United States. This may be due to several reasons, but the main one is the configuration of the payment schedule.
Recipients of this monthly check should be aware that the payment schedule set up depends on each State independently. Therefore, it is not the same to have SNAP in the State of Kansas as in the State of Montana.
Even so, these citizens can always know the SNAP Food Stamps payment schedule in advance. Thanks to knowing on which days the state sends out checks, we can more efficiently organize everything related to household finances.
In this sense, a new month always means a new check for these recipients. Receiving the payment earlier or later will depend on the State in which we live, but if we have the benefit accepted it is usual to get the money directly.
STATES THAT DO NOT SEND NEW SNAP FOOD STAMPS PAYMENTS IN SEPTEMBER
Since each State sets up its Food Stamp payments differently, it is common to see that in some of them there are no more payments after a certain day. This makes it confusing at times for some Americans, but the payment schedule is actually quite easy to understand.
As of today, none of the following states will be able to send a new SNAP payment in September. If you live in one of them you will have to wait until October to get this money on your EBT card. These are the States:
- Alabama: September 4-23
- Delaware: September 2-23
- Florida: September 1 to 28
- Georgia: September 5-23
- Indiana: September 5 – 23
- Louisiana: September 1 – 23
- Maryland: September 4 – 23
- Missouri: September 1 – 22
- Texas: September 1 to 28
Being part of one of these states does not mean that we will get the payment in the next few days. But it does mean that the State Government may send us the money soon. The SNAP check may arrive as late as the 23rd in most cases, but in Missouri, for example, today is the last day of the mailing.
Residents who have not received their benefits on time can file a claim at a SNAP office to get their benefits as soon as possible. Americans who live in a state on this list must wait until the deadline for sending these payments.
