Millions of Americans age 62 and older are waiting for their second November Social Security check, a crucial support for dealing with expenses and inflation in the United States.
If you did not receive a Social Security payment on November 3 or November 8, this check is probably for you. It is important to have applied for benefits after April 30, 1997, as applications prior to May 1997 are not eligible for this payment.
To be eligible for this average payment of approximately $1,841, your date of birth must be between the 11th and 20th of the month. Birth dates outside this range do not qualify for this Social Security payment. It should be noted that Social Security payments have already begun this month, and this is the second check for those who meet the above requirements.
On average, the Social Security Administration will send checks of about $1,841 beginning in November 2023. However, some payments can be much larger, reaching up to $4,555 in 2023 at age 70. To receive this higher payment, you must have worked at least 35 years, retire at age 70 and have an exceptional earnings history.
November 8 was the first Social Security payment for November, and many are wondering when the next check will be in November. Below we clarify the schedule of payments for this month:
- Nov. 1: SSI
- Nov. 3: SSA for those retired prior to 1997
- November 8: SSA for those born from 1 to 10
- Nov. 15: SSA for those born 11 through 20
- November 22: SSA for those born 21-31 of any month of the year.
If you receive retirement or disability benefits and get a small check, you may qualify for SSI, a supplement for low-income Americans. Don’t delay and apply for more money as soon as possible.
