These are the three requirements if we want the double check in one week of September:
- Have a Social Security benefit since after 1997.
- Have a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month.
- Have an accepted Supplemental Security Income benefit.
If we meet all of these requirements, the Social Security Administration will send us two separate checks in the last week of September. To be exact, the payments could arrive on the 27th of the month and the 29th of the month.

In order to get both payments on the same day they are sent, we must activate Direct Deposit. Otherwise, the money could take up to 3 days to arrive, so we would not have double payments in the same week.
In a best case scenario, a retiree could get a $4,555 payment and an SSI benefit. But it is true that SSI payments are for the neediest people and a retiree getting the maximum benefit would not qualify for Supplemental Security Income.
