The monthly payment of checks for disability retirement in the United States arrives every month to all groups of beneficiaries. However, it is true that not all retirees collect the payment on the same day of the month. In this sense, some retirees receive the check in the first days of each month and other retirees have to wait a little longer.

Who gets the new Social Security Disability Insurance?
February 12th will be the new day for Disability retirees to get their new retirement check. However, it is not only Disability retirees who can receive Social Security payments, as these payments can also be made to other retirees in the United States.
In order to receive this payment, two requirements must be met:
- Have a check dated after May 1997.
- Be between the 1st and 10th day of any month.
This way we will be part of group 1 of retirees and we will always receive the payment on the second Wednesday of each month. Well, we won’t actually receive the payment, but the Administration will send the payment on that day. Whether or not we get it immediately depends on whether we have activated the fastest collection method, Direct Deposit.
How do I get the maximum amount of Social Security Disability Insurance?
To get the maximum Social Security Disability check, we have to have maximized the benefit in the past. The check we get in February will be the same as in January 2025, so there are no changes in our benefit, with some exceptions.
However, if we take last year’s payment into account, we will have an increase. The Social Security payment in 2025 increased over the previous year thanks to the COLA. Currently, the disability payment can reach $4,018.
