New York State launches new grants to buy a home

The state of New York has announced $51 million in grants to promote affordable homeownership. These funds aim to benefit nearly 1,100 households by providing financial support for necessary home repairs, accessibility modifications, safety improvements, replacement of manufactured homes, and down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers.

RuthAnne Visnauskas, Commissioner of New York State Homes and Community Renewal, stated:
“Expanding access to housing and making homeownership an affordable reality is essential for all New Yorkers. The $51 million announced today through various programs will provide resources to help families make critical home repairs, accessibility modifications, and even replace outdated manufactured homes.
