Even so, it is true that not all Americans can get one of these stimulus checks, as there are requirements. However, we sometimes find that there are stimulus checks that we don’t know we can get. For that reason, they can be a pleasant surprise to give our economy a boost.
Who is eligible for the new stimulus check?
The truth is that the stimulus check we are talking about is only available to Alaskans. However, not all Alaskans can get the benefit, as there are some essential requirements that must be met.
If you live in Alaska, you may be eligible. In order to get this stimulus check, you must:
- Have lived in Alaska for at least 12 months in the last year.
- Have indefinite residence in Alaska.
- Not have residence, or have claimed it, in any other state.
- Not have a criminal record.
Basically, we are faced with the requirement of having lived in Alaska in the previous year in order to obtain this stimulus check. The specific name of this type of payment is the Permanent Fund Dividend and it is obtained thanks to the State distributing the surplus profits from the sale of its oil.
The payment for the year 2025, which actually belongs to the profits of 2024, will be $1,700 and will be sent in the next few days. In theory, February 20th is the first of the dispatch days, but dispatch may be delayed during the week after this date.
