Disability payments for the whole of April will arrive in stages in households in the United States. Thus, a pensioner may already have the payment in their checking account, while the rest of the groups still have to wait a little while before they can finally enjoy their monthly benefit.
In this sense, group 2 disability retirees can soon enjoy one of these benefits, which will arrive on April 9th. But there are mandatory requirements that retirees must meet in order to get the check on that day. There is even a possibility that the Administration will send us the check on that day but that we will not get it immediately.
After all, all these checks are sent on specific days of the month and disability pensioners receive their payment sooner or later depending on the group to which they belong. Without a doubt, knowing when we will receive this check is important in order to have economic and, therefore, mental stability.
Requirements for the April 9th Disability Payment
There are only two mandatory requirements to be able to get the April 9th Disability Payment. In addition to that, there is also another extra requirement that means we can get the check on the same day the Administration sends it out. This last requirement not only works with the payments on April 9th, but it can also work with the rest of the benefit payments.
In any case, the requirements to be part of group 2 and, therefore, to receive the check on April 9th are:
- Your birthday must be between the 1st and 10th of any month.
- You must have been receiving benefits since after May 1997.
Only by meeting both requirements will we form part of group 2 of retirees. This group always receives, with some exceptions, payments on the second Wednesday of the month. And April 9th is the second Wednesday of the month, so this will be payday for them.

As far as the amount is concerned, each disability retiree has a different check. The maximum payment is $4,018 for this group of beneficiaries, but that does not mean that all Americans have access to a check of that amount.
